Pat Robertson stands to take a beating from TSS, but when he does something right we have to admit it. This ad is part of the We Can Solve It global warming ad campaign sponsored by former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection. Robertson teams with Al Sharpton, a guy who has his own history of outrageous utterances from the other end of the political spectrum.
By doing this ad, Robertson goes against major conservative theological and political pressure and actually lives to tell about it. So, first he endorses Rudy Giuliani for President, disagreeing with almost every other leader of the Christian Right, and now this. Is this a kinder, gentler Pat Robertson? I’m not counting on it, but this is a pretty big step in the right direction.
