NBC loves to tease those of us who have been waiting with baited breath for the return of our beloved “Heroes.” Last season was way too short and suffered a bit overall because of it, but something about the concept of next season’s Villains arc has me about as giddy as a wee little girl.
Heroes: Season Three - Villains
I’ve always been fascinated by the duality of man, especially how that is portrayed in comic books with hero vs. villain. In every hero there is a potential to be a villain and vise versa. Had Clark Kent been raised by Lionel Luthor, we would have had a very different Superman. The last and hopefully final “Spiderman” movie gave us glimpses of what happens when great power yields great irresponsibility. The potential to become apathetic or down right evil is huge.
It’s best summed up by a quote from Harvey Dent in “The Dark Knight” — “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
It looks like this season of “Heroes” is giving us just that. “Heroes” returns to NBC this fall with a…wait for it: THREE HOUR SEASON PREMIERE!
